Emergency Notification System

The Emergency Notification System (aka Reverse 911) that is provided through Morris County, when activated, will generate phone calls to the community with messages regarding any Emergency and the steps that you should take.

Please Note: If you should receive such a call, or fax, please listen carefully to the message and, if applicable, take any action required. This system will only be implemented when an emergency is imminent.

Not Receiving Notifications
If you are in one of the areas that were evacuated during Hurricane Irene and did not receive a call from the Reverse 911 System, please call Verizon at 800-837-4966 and choose the prompt allowing you to make a change to your service, or bypass all by pressing zero (0). Once a representative picks up inform them that you need your phone number updated in the 911 databases.
