Recycling Cans


If you need extra recycling cans, you can purchase additional cans in the Clerk's Office Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. The cost is $15.80 for each yellow can and $17.80 for each blue can.

  • Thanksgiving & Following (Thurs.-Fri.)
  • Christmas Eve & Christmas Day

Sorting Recyclables

The yellow recycling cans are used for mixed paper, which includes the following:
  • Brown Paper Bags
  • Cereal Boxes
  • Chipboard
  • Corrugated Cardboard
  • Hardcover Books
  • Junk Mail
  • Magazines
  • Milk Cartons
  • Newspaper
  • Office Paper
  • Paperback Books
  • Telephone Books
  • Wrapping Paper
The blue recycling cans are used for aluminum, glass food and beverage containers, plastics, and ferrous cans, which includes the following:
  • PET - 2-liter soft drink bottles, cooking oil, peanut butter jars
  • HDPE - Detergent bottles, milk jugs
  • PVC-Outdoor furniture, water bottles, salad dressing, liquid detergent containers
  • LDPE - Dry cleaning bags, produce bags, food storage containers
  • PP - Bottle caps, drinking straws, yogurt containers
  • PS - Packing peanuts, cups, plastic tableware, meat trays, takeout food clam shell containers
  • Other - Plastic found on certain types of food containers, Tupperware, Nalgene bottles

IMPORTANT NOTICE: No plastic bags will be accepted in either recycling bins, please do not bag your recyclables.
