COYOTES
Most of the time, Coyotes will avoid contact with humans. Coyotes, if fed regularly, will come to depend on humans for food. This may lead to aggression if you stop feeding them. If they cannot find food, then the small animals in the neighborhood will become their targets. In order to avoid a problem with coyotes, you should have tight fitting lids for your garbage cans. Also, do not leave pet food outside and do not leave pets outside unaccompanied. Coyotes will take a cat and frequently small dogs. When walking your dog take a large stick or some device that will make a loud noise. If a coyote bites you, report it to the Police Department and immediately seek medical attention.
