General Program Information:
The Borough of Lincoln Park offers a variety of recreational opportunities for residents of all ages and abilities.  In addition, there are numerous recreational facilities, which are available for use by residents.  Many programs are open to non-residents and are identified as "non-residents welcome" or "non-residents welcome".

GWL Trip Day Trip to Great Wolf Lodge in Scot Run, PA  trip includes water park passes, buffet lunch and coach transportation   $80 pp
Kindergarten Enrichment

This program is offered to LP residents with children that will be 5yrs old by Dec 31, 2011.  The Kindergarten Enrichment Program reviews and reinforces basic skills such as reading and math skills with games and crafts.  Children participate in circle time, crafts, structured play-time, show & tell, bi-weekly visits to the LP Library and other field trips to government buildings such as the Police Dept and Fire Dept.  Lunch is not included, but time is scheduled for lunch before or after kindergarten sessions. 

 

Class meets Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday for AM or PM Sessions

AM Session:  9am - 12:30pm     PM Session:  11:45am - 3:15pm

Recreational Basketball

This program is offered on Tuesday evenings during the fall/winter  (November - March)  from 8:45pm - 11pm and during the spring/summer (April - October) from 7:30 - 11pm at the PAL/Community Center.   Proof of residency is required for admittance into the program.  Men over the age of 18yrs only.

Must be Lincoln Park residents!

Summer Camps

Three different programs are offered during the summer at different locations based upon the campers grade/age. Programs includes arts & crafts, weekly trips (based on age), sports & quiet games. These programs provide children with “something to do” and keeps them in touch with their school friends during the summer months. 

Kinder-Camp for 3-4 yr olds at LPES

K-6 Camp: grades Kindergarten through 6th grade - at LPMS

Summer Tour: A Trips Only program is also offered to students in the 7th through 9th Grades.

Boot Camp
A 60-minute class that will get your metabolism cranking, improve fitness levels and decrease stress.  Each class includes something different such as weights, flexibility training, and/or cardio training.

Classes are Tuesday and Thursday mornings from 5:45am - 6:45am at the LP Pal/Community Bldg.

Strength Training A 60-minute class that will get your focused on increasing your strength and flexibility.

Classes are Mondays and Thrusday evenings 7-8pm at the LP Pal/Community Bldg.

Zumba A 60-minute class of Latin-Inspired dance fitness. Zumba fuses hypnotic rhythms and easy to follow moves to create a one of a kind fitness program that will make you love working out.  Fast and slow rhythms and resistance training are combined to tone and sculpt your body while burning up to 1000 calories an hour.

Classes are held Tuesday evening from 7:30-8:30pm at the LP Pal/Community Center Bldg.

Easter Egg Hunt and Party Saturday, March 31, 2012 residents only FREE  
Women's Recreation Volleyball Join one of the LP teams and play one-hour competitive games.

Games scheduled every Thursday between 7pm and 11pm

Lincoln Park Day Annual Event held on the last Saturday of September.  The Event is run by a dedicated group of volunteers that is always looking for new members.  Please visit their web-site for more information.

Halloween Parade & Party This event is sponsored by the LP Red Dept and the LP Lions.  All participants receive a FREE goody bag.  Parade begins from the LP Train Station PROMPTLY at 6pm, continues down Main Street to the LP PAL/Community Center Bldg for costume judging,food,  music, games and some ghoulish fun!

Holiday Lighting Celerbration Join the Mayor to for the official start of the Holiday Season in Lincoln Park.  This FREE event includes music and singing by the LP Elementary and Middle Schools, a visit with Santa and some winter refreshments.

       Lanes Field

Lincoln Park Recreation and the Mayor's Wellness Campaign are proud to announce that through the generous donation of a Lincoln Park family, we were able to install fitness equipment along the jogging path at Lanes Field.  Open the link to the right for detailed instructions on use of the equipment
