The Lincoln Park Day Scholarship Program is open to all Lincoln Park residents who will be completing their high school education this academic year and will be continuing their education.
The scholarship is based on Volunteer Activities and Community Service.

2013 Scholarship Winner
Kenneth volunteers for both he Lincoln Park EMS and the Lincoln Park Volunteer Fire Company. He will be attending the County College of Morris this fall.
2012 Scholarship Winner
Marc and his family moved toLincoln Parkin 2005 and he has attended LP and Boonton public schools. He graduated fromBoontonHigh Schoolin June and will pursue a degree in biology. Marc has been active in his church and in Boy Scouts. He recently earned his Eagle Scout award. Through his involvement with the church and boy scouts he has
assisted in many projects including Lincoln Park Day, 5 K run/walk, and has assisted with flood clean up. During his high school years Marc was involved in the wrestling program at Boonton.
The Lincoln Park Day Association would like to congratulate Marc and thank him for his commitment to serving our community.
Krysta Marie Scimeca
Recipient of the LPDA Joleen Morere Scholarship
Krysta graduated this June from Morris County School of Technology in Denville. Her extracurricular activities included MCST Varsity Soccer and Softball, MCST national Technical honor Society and Girl Scouts of America. Her volunteer activities included LPDA;
St. Thomas Moore Youth Group Service and Summer Camp; Girl Scouts of America; 4H; St. Joseph’s RC Church (Teacher asst.; choir and altar server; and National Technical Honors Society Community Services. She is currently working toward her Girl Scout Gold Award project to create a dog park in Lincoln Park. Krysta will be continuing her education at SUNY and is looking toward becoming a Veterinarian.
Shawn Anthony Rhoads
Recipient of the LPDA Scholarship
Shawn is a June graduate of DePaul High School, Wayne, NJ. Some of his extracurricular activities included National Youth Leadership Training Staff; Boy Scouts of America; Gold Key Club; Eucharistic Ministry and Altar Service (St. Gerard Majella RC Church); National Honor Society and Hispanic Honors Society. His volunteer activities included national Youth Leadership Training; Straight and Narrow, Inc.; Mary Help of Christians Camp; NNJC Catholic Retreat of Scouting and Mission Trip of Hope (working in the Dominican Republic). Shawn will continue his education in the field of Physics.

- For her involvement in PAL cheerleading coaching; girl scouts; LP EMS (45 hours per month since 3/2009); toy drive and Key Club. (Kristin is also Jolene Morere’s niece and sister of one of the 2008 winners.)
- Lincoln Park Day Community Service Scholarship
- For his volunteer involvement in Key Club, Prom Committee, LPEC (mentoring program for special needs students), Church projects at St. Joseph’s RC Church and the LP Post office food drive.
